Last weekend before CNY

This is the last weekend before Chinese New Year and like everyone else we're out shopping for some new clothes in town. Weird though because town seems pretty quiet as compared to the past weekends. I guess the recently heavy downpour seems to have dampen everyone's mood to even head out these days. Lalala went to the food court at Somerset 313 to have our lunch / dinner before we go for a walk ^_^

It's our 3 years 9 months anniversary today too hehe. So happy to be out shopping with the girlfriend and holding her hands as we walk in the rain. Lalala it's a yikai day.

So happy because I managed to get a polo tee from A&F and dear also managed to get a couple of new dresses too. And so we took a bus to go over to Dhoby Ghaut as the rain just doesn't seems to stop at all. Lalala having a movie date with the girlfriend today at The Grand Cathay as we watch xXx: return of Xander Cage ^_^ Nice movie hehe and I even managed to get another shirt from Benjamin Barker too. 

First Run of 2017

It's been months since I last put on my pair of running shoes and I think the last run with the colleagues was like way back too lol. But for today, I really need this run badly just so I can clear my mind after a disappointing day at work. I think it's hard to work at times when you're limited to lots of crucial information on the tasks that you're being told to do. So much that I felt stupid to a certain extent when others who are on a temporary contract knows more than I do. Guess sometimes you just sort of falls under the category of "on a need to know basis" and just need to do what you're told to do.

Off Day Foodstagram

Last day of our off day today so we decided to have some of our favourite food today. So happy because our breakfast is my favourite curry chicken beehoon from Fa Ji Minced Pork Noodle at Kovan hawker centre. Once a favourite, always a favourite :)

Head back home for dear dear to orh orh kun before we take the bus over to Tampines for our favourite Ban Mian at the Kopitiam at Tampines One. Kinda sad though because I think the Ban Mian doesn't taste as good as before cos the soup seems kinda bland and not as tasty. Walk walk for abit before we make our way back home liao but not before buying my favourite Auntie Anne and donut hehe.

2D1N Trip to JB: Day Two

So emo because we're heading back to Singapore today. Can't believe that I actually slept for such a long time after having the hotel breakfast that I did not went up for a swim. Time to check out from the hotel and head over to KSL for a walk and have some small bites. Walk around KSL for awhile before we took the bus from KSL to City Square for the girlfriend to have her haircut.

And now it's time to head back to the sunny Singapore lo. Time to embrace the slow moving queues at the Malaysia Custom and snake queues of the buses and cars heading into Singapore now. Till next time lo JB... 

2D1N Trip to JB: Day One

Yeah we're going to JB for two days today. It's been such a long time since we went over to JB for makan, massage and shopping. So happy that it's finally happening because we can now take a break and have some nice decent food. Left for JB in the morning as we took bus 161 over to Woodlands Interchange. The jam was so crazy today that we are stuck in the bus going from Woodlands Checkpoint to the Malaysia Checkpoint. I guess lots of Singaporeans are also going in to stock up on some CNY goodies. Finally we arrived in JB after queuing up for 1 hour plus in that forever unorganized and messed up queues over at the Malaysia checkpoint.

First Stop: Soon Huat Bak Kut Teh @Jalan Sutera 1 

I always love the Bak Kut Teh here especially when I can add on so many different toppings into that little claypot hehe. Ordered the ginger chicken too which is my top choice and I always drank up the whole bowl of sauce. We also ordered the one Assam fish but in the end two fishes was served to our table lol. After our lunch we took a taxi over to KSL to walk around before we head over to check in at Holiday Villa hotel :)

Well, I guess like all hotels in JB that we have stayed in, Holiday Villa cannot withstand the test of time too. We have so many issues in the room that we stayed in, from the faulty safe, faulty lights in the wardrobe and even the bath tub have issues. If only the hotels here actually put in efforts to do some maintenance from time to time. Went up to the swimming pool for a swim before we head down for our massage. Shiok Shiok time :)

Second Stop: Movie Date - Great Wall

Hehe love the movie so much. I think the movie is pretty good though I have heard some bad reviews on it but then I think its really cool though to have another perspective on the Great Wall too :) And so after our movie, it's time for our dinner. Took a taxi over to Jalan Kelewang for the Ah Piaw Wanton Mee, Abalone noodle and my all time favourite Lok Lok hehe. 

Third Stop: Dinner @ Jalan Kelewang

And so after our delicious dinner, we head over to Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre to get some CNY goodies. The price of the various CNY goodies have gone up over here in JB too T.T After getting the goodies we head back to Holiday Villa. Relax over coffee at the Doi Chaang Caffee just below KSL. Love the Mocha Frapp here ^_^
