3D2N Melaka Trip - Day 2

Woke up early in the morning for our hotel breakfast before going back to our room for a rest. So tired but I just couldn't go back to sleep at all. Woke up in the afternoon and took a taxi from Hatten Hotel to Jalan Bachang for the Taiwan Pork Chop Noodles.

To be honest I think it's really better to find a meter running taxi (starting rate RM6) to places that are not too far unless you're fine with paying a fixed rate of RM20 to the ugly taxi drivers. And so after about 12 minutes of journey we arrived at Jalan Bachang and our taxi fare is only RM14. Ordered the Pork Chop noodle (RM5.50) and Spicy Beef noodle (RM5.50) and soft drink (RM2.20).

Not too sure what's the fuss about the Taiwan Pork Chop noodles but then the noodle are not really the kind of noodle that I like, plus the soup fail to give me the wow factor. I would rate it just 6/10.

Saw this stall selling coconut drink that I couldn't resist not ordering because the weather is so hot.

Walked for quite a distance before we managed to grab a taxi back to Jonker Street. Really dislike paying RM20 to the crook taxi drivers here because it's so easy money and they can earn few hundred dollars in just a day. As usual we came here to have Cendol before heading over to Jonker Street to walk around the area. So happy to walk around the area with the girlfriend, and buying the childhood toys to play :)

The weather was so hot that we decided to walk back to Nadeje Cake Shop for some tea time hehe. Ordered a slice of the original flavour Nadeje Mille Crepe cake (RM12.90) and rest our legs in the air-conditioned cafe. Gosh, we really got to thank whoever invented air-conditioning hehe.

Went back to the hotel to rest before heading out again. Initially we wanted to head to the swimming pool for a swim but the bed was just too tempting and in the end we sleep in till evening time before heading out to Jonker Street. It's Friday but there was not much crowd here tonight which is pretty weird.

Took a taxi from the end of Jonker Walk to Ban Lee Siang for the Satay Lok Lok. The standard taxi rate from Jonker Street to there is a flat rate of RM15 although it's just a 5 minutes car journey. Yummy Yummy we ate a total of 28 sticks which cost us RM31. As we're so full and we memorise the way back to Jonker Street, we decided not to take the taxi anymore and walk back which is just about 15 minutes away.

The girlfriend managed to contact Jess who is always in Melaka with her family. Meet up with her for a movie "The Jungle Book" at 9.50pm before heading to their hotel to check out the hotel and also ours. Time for some wefie before we all rest for the night as rain started to fall.
