Sparks Day 2016

It's Sparks Day today ^_^

Finally the week is coming to an end soon and we are having our department's sparks day (team bonding) today. Unlike the previous year, we're heading up North to Johor Bahru for our Sparks Day. This is our Company's last ever Sparks Day as it is cancelled with effect when the management decided it is a high cost event. Lucky us since we got the approval from our previous CEO Lance Tay.

Lalala we're having Bee Hoon for our breakfast as we go through the first part of our Sparks Day which is meeting after meeting. Finally we can set off to Bugis to take the taxis over to Malaysia but who would have expected it to rain; and furthermore it's such a heavy downpour. Luckily the taxi driver is kind enough to walk over with lots of umbrellas for us to walk over from the MRT.

Hehehe so many Pokemons for me to catch along the way before we cross over the causeway. Caught so many Pokemons that was not in my Pokedex too :)

First Stop: The Best Chicken Chop in Town @ IT Roo Cafe
Location: 17, Jalan Dhoby Johor Bahru 80100 Johor Bahru

Thanks to Rex for bringing us here to try out the chicken chop at IT Roo Cafe. The chicken chop is pretty not bad and the portion is really big enough for two pax. Yummy yummy value for money chicken chop.

And so after the delightful lunch, and just as we are about to set off the sky decided to rain on us. With no choice, we had to book a cab thru Grab to get us from here to City Square for our second activity of the day before the rain water flooded the whole area around us.

Second Stop: Laser Battle @ City Square
Location: Johor Bahru City Square 108, Jalan Wong Ah Fook Johor Bahru, Johor 80000

Lalala who could have thought it would be so fun running around chasing after everyone in the dimly lighted room with our laser gun. So fun but it's really tiring if you've not been exercising like me, because you'll be squatting down to catch your breath in no time. Love the excitement, especially the second round of the game when the lights are totally switched off. Ready, Run, Fire!!!

Yeah, second place for the first round and our Blue Team is leading.

Yeah!! Distribution Compliance Team is the winner. Cheers to Blue Team ^_^

And so time for the third stop of the day where some of us are heading for our massage, some for haircut and some for mani and pedicure ^_^ Decided to go for a well deserved massage with Rex, Sharan and Donna before meeting up with the rest of the crew. It's still a love hate relationship for me with regards to massage since I can't stand the itchiness but yet I love when they massage my shoulders and lower back.

Time for dinner before heading back to Singapore. Time to rest...

SG51 National Day Parade 2016

Happy 51st Birthday Singapore
SG51

Can you believe it, it's been a year since we celebrate a milestone in Singapore's history which is last year. I think SG50 has got to be the most memorable and sad NDP of all since it was the year when we witness the passing of our founding father Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Let's hope for Singapore to be strong and safe from any terrorist related attacks.

Meet up with Zi Ying at Somerset313 for lunch at 海底捞火锅 to celebrate her birthday. Nice nice steamboat, it's been awhile since we ate something nice other than our usual 麻辣香锅 and Jollibee fried chicken lo haha. Yummy yummy lunch.

Walk around town before meeting up with Serene too. Went to Robinson to walk around and check out all the sales going on in the departmental store which are so attractive lor but I cannot buy liao so many Lego already T.T

Went over to Kallang Wave Mall for a walk and had some light dinner before checking out the NDP fireworks happening at 8pm+. There were already so many people there when we got there and everyone is "parking" for a good spot hours before the fireworks.

And so after the amazing fireworks we decided to head elsewhere for a drink but as expected the entrance leading to the MRT are always so crowded and disorganized. We even thought of using Grab car, Uber all these but too bad the taxis seems not able to drive in to the roundabout near the stadium despite the SPF officers telling us that the roads leading into here were not block anymore.

With no choice we ended up queuing up again for the entrance to the Stadium MRT (-_-) Took the train to head over to Five at Raffles Place for a drink but then it was closed. Can't believe the info on their Facebook page stating that it is open was a misleading info T.T With no choice we walk to Boat Quay to check out the other pubs and decided to settled down at RedDot for a drink.

With the crazy tons of sh*t happening at work recently, I'm so happy that I can finally chillax. Who cares if it's a work day tomorrow man, time to relax and chill. Work hard, play hard :)

Mum's 56th Birthday

Happy 56th Birthday to my mum

We're celebrating my mum's birthday today and we're going to Gardens by the Bay together with my Ah Gong, Ah Ma and my aunties. Initially I really do not want to go at all, mainly because I am not someone who put on a mask to entertain the people around me. And I don't even want to witness my brother putting on an act infront of me by being very good to my aunties, my grandparents but not to mum at all. Sometimes I just don't get it.

Finally we are heading out after waiting at home for close to half a day, and the weather is beginning to turn dark. I really don't get why we have to wait till so late before we set off because like my mum, we don't really like to wait at home for no reasons at all. And now they want to set off when the sky is dark. Time to be the GPS for my auntie as we set off in my ah gong car and my auntie car.

We're finally here at Gardens by the Bay and the entrance to the carpark is crazy as the queue lined up all the way to the main road. Can you imagine because of the Singapore Garden Festival there are so many people here today.

So happy to see the smile on my Ah Gong and Ah Ma as we push them around Gardens by the Bay. Sometimes you just wished that time can be stopped and they can forever stay happy and healthy.

Me and my Ah Gong :)

My Ah Gong and Ah Ma

And so after braving through the heavy down pour and crazy crowd, we're heading out for our dinner now. Head over to the hawker at Chinatown Complex to have our dinner which consists of the Claypot Chicken Rice, steam fish, etc. Really beh tahan when my aunties kept asking my brother to eat more when he is already so big size (-_-") Finally we can go home now. Went to Hougang Mall to get a small cake for my mum lalala

Time to celebrate my mum's birthday together with Tessa hehe :) Happy Birthday to mummy again.

Jacob's 31st Birthday

We're celebrating my buddy Jacob's 31st birthday tonight and I'm glad we're able to make him smile for abit since he's been feeling rather low lately, especially on the day of his birthday which would reminds him of his mother.

Met up with the rest of the crew as we gave a little surprise to Jacob as Ai Ping brought him there after their dinner. Had some drinks and chat through the night about the things we used to do when we were once "young". Can't believe we spend so many hours here till 2am before we call it a day :)

Finally wifi is back

Finally I can update our love love blog again. Been missing in action for more than a month after the house's wifi was down. If I'm the one making the payment, I'm sure such an issue won't even happen at all.

Been so tired from work these few days after the start of the intense investigation as I strained my eyes by staring at the computer throughout the day. Gosh, I need a break. Anything at all...

Felt so happy that the girlfriend is coming down to wait for me to finish work before we walk over to Chinatown to have our dinner.

Lalala we're having our favourite Tiong Bahru Chicken Rice today. It's been so long since we came here for dinner ever since the girlfriend started working late at her new work place. So tired that we head straight home after having our dinner. zzZ...

Mr Friendly CEO Lance Tay

Today will be our Mr Friendly CEO Lance Tay last day as he steps down as the Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore. Although I have only joined this company for one year plus but I've seen and personally experience how friendly and real he is as a leader, and not just a boss. Where else can you find a CEO who would offers his subordinates a ride in his car as we head for our complimentary lunch.

All the best Mr Lance.

Trip to Adventure Cove Sentosa

Woke up feeling so tired but excited because I've everything all packed and ready for the Adventure Cove. Went to pick up mei mei from Ang Mo Kio as we make our way to Sentosa. Decided to drove into Sentosa and park the car at the Beach Station carpark instead of parking at Resort World Sentosa as it's way cheaper.

Yeah we're finally here at the Adventure Cove Sentosa ^_^ Time for some sun, sand and sea lo. I can't wait to laze round and round in the Adventure River and brave the Bluwater Bay before we head to the Big Bucket Treehouse to play the small slides with the kids. I am so happy because we get to snorkel for free at the Rainbow Reef. Hehe this is the first time that I'm snorkeling with dear dear :) Feeling so happy de.
