Trip to the Singapore Zoo

Yeah we're finally going to the Singapore Zoo again but this time round was different because we be driving there with our own car. In the past we used to take a bus to Ang Mo Kio Interchange and take the SBS bus 138 to go to the Zoo but not anymore lalala.

Wake up early morning and prepare while the girlfriend was still asleep. I guess I'm too excited hehe. Went opposite my house to have our breakfast and thereafter we drove straight to the Singapore Zoo which is just 25 minutes of journey.

We purchased our Singapore Zoo tickets online via the Carousell App, and our tickets cost just S$23.00 per person and it comes with the unlimited tram rides in the zoo too. Otherwise the usual ticket per person is S$33.00 and it does not comes with the tram rides too. What's best was we can just use show the e-tickets to the zoo personnel from our phones and enter the zoo.

So happy that the Dinosaurs exhibits are still on display here because I already wanted to come to the Zoo when I knew about the Dinosaurs on display here like many months back hehe. We missed the Splash Safari show at 10.30am so we decided to just slowly enjoy our time here by walking and taking the tram as and when to get to the different zones here.

The White Tiger exhibit

So sad that one of the white tiger "Omar" died on 7th June this year at the age of 17 after its health worsened due to a type of skin cancer called melanoma, which had developed on the tiger's eyelid. So now there's only two white tigers left in the enclosure.

Took the tram to bring us nearer to the Rainforest Fights Back Show at 12.30pm

The Peakcock dance :)

And so after the show we were so hungry that we can barely walk now. Took the tram to the Kidz World to have our lunch at KFC. Whenever I came here I feel disgusted by the many selfish people who will purposely hog the tables and seats instead of giving it up to others. But when it comes to me and my girlfriend, we'll always finish up our food and gestured to people to take our tables and even clear our tables for them. Sometimes I wonder why can't people be nicer to one another and not be so self-centered.

The farm animals here at the Kidz World

Just when everyone was enjoying the Elephants at work and play show, it started to rain very very heavily and we got no choice but to leave the place. Head over to the tram station to queue for tram ride back to the front entrance so that I can go back to the car to take our umbrella.

Hehe took the transparent plastic sheet that was left at the side of the trolley and poke 3 holes in it to form into my own personal rain coat to keep myself dry from the heavy rain lalala. Yeah, so happy that we can continue on the rest of our journey in the zoo to see the rest of the animals.

Always have that "I don't want to leave this place" feeling whenever we are leaving the zoo. I can really come here for many times in a year and won't get bored from watching the same old performance over and over again too. But sometimes I really feel sad to see some of the animals being kept in captivity with no freedom to how animals should be like living in the wild. For example, Inuka our very own locally born-and-bred Polar Bear is now all alone ever since its mother Sheba, died in 2012 at the age of 35. Always can't bear to look at it all alone :(

We went over to 奇味雞煲 at Upper Serangoon Road to have our dinner since its raining and we are craving for something hot and soupy. Loving our dinner tonight because the soup is filled with the ginger which will give you that burning sensation when you drank the soup hehe.

Dinner @ Bedok 85

Lalala we're going to 85 Bedok North Road hawker for our dinner. So happy because we love the BBQ stingray, cockles, BBQ chicken wings, Bak Chor Mee and the very very nice Otah Otah ^_^ Always feel happy to be able to drive the girlfriend to wherever she feels like going for our dinner. Thereafter we went over to Giant for a walk and also get the Steamer so that the girlfriend can iron her dresses with ease.

Our love nest: Punggol NorthShore Updates

It's been quite awhile since we drove over to check out the progress of our Build-to-Order project, the Northshore Residences at Punggol. So happy when we saw that the project is progressing really fast now. Can't wait to have our own house to call our home hehe.

Bringing the doggies out with us for a walk and to check out our BTO project.

What really excites me was the latest news of the future development of a Punggol Coast MRT station in the near future. This will definitely be of good convenience to all of us next time since Punggol is considered by many to be a very Ulu place in Singapore lol.

Trip to Singapore Flyer with Ah Ma

We're heading over to the Singapore Flyer today with Ah Ma and GuGu family but too bad Ah Gong being Ah Gong, he refused to join us and prefers to stay home instead. So happy to see Ah Ma smiling so happily when we are up in the skies. Ah Ma is so brave too unlike some of us who are afraid of heights.

I really hope Ah Ma can live for a very very long time and don't leave us or Ah Gong behind. I really don't want her to leave us...

Cropped Ah Gong into the photo because I want us to have a full family potrait
