Fun@TM Company Team Building

It's Tokio Marine Team Building today

We're having our team building today and we're heading over to the Marina Barrage in the afternoon. So happy because there will be entry to the Cloud Forest which I have not went in before other than the Flower Dome. Somehow I felt that we're taking the game too seriously that we forgot the most important thing which is to enjoy the moment. Everyone was trying to complete the various tasks and quiz in the tablet provided that we did not slow down our pace to enjoy the beautiful Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. #Whysoserious

Me and my team mates from the various departments

I guess I'm the only one in my team to stop and enjoy the view

Finally met up with the colleagues after the games. Walk over to Marina Bay Sands together and catch some Pokemon along the way and chasing after the Dewgong Pokemon before it disappears.

3D2N to Kuala Lumpur and JB Day 3

We have come to the end of our 3D2N trip where we traveled to Kuala Lumpur by flight and thereafter traveled down to Johor Bahru by bus and lastly we're heading back to Singapore by bus today. How I wish we could stay here for one more day and enjoy the infinity pool.

Woke up for our breakfast and to be honest there's nothing much to talk about as it wasn't as good as the Hatten Hotel or KSL hotel but lucky the pool is great. Went back to the room to sleep in and to our horror we overslept till past 12pm before we hurried to check out.

Walk around at KSL before we cab down to Jalan Sutera Satu for our lunch at Shoon Huat Bak Kut Teh 顺发肉骨茶. I still love the Bak Kut Teh here and have been a fan for the past 10 over years. Lalala so happy to finally eat this since we have not been coming to JB for quite awhile.

After our very fulfilling lunch, we cab down to City Square to walk around and spent some time at the arcade to play some of my favourite games with dear dear. Love to play the basketball and shooting game with dear and can't stop laughing too :) Lalala we're having my favourite ice cream at Baskin Robbins before heading back to Singapore.

3D2N to Kuala Lumpur and JB Day 2

We have come to day 2 of our 3D2N trip to Kuala Lumpur and today we're heading to Johor Bahru. Woke up for our breakfast which I find to be rather decent considering the size of the hotel so nothing much to complain about.

The cute cute girlfriend enjoying the view from the hotel pool

Lalala relaxing at the hotel's pool after our breakfast before we head back to our room to rest before we packed up and make our way to Johor Bahru. And now we're all packed and ready to go :) Decided to be an explorer today and explore the public transport here in Kuala Lumpur.

Walked over to the Bukit Bintang station to catch the train from here to Hang Tuah station and switched to Laluan Ampang line towards the direction of Sri Petaling. So excited because this is the first time that we're exploring the alternative of taking the train instead of the pricey taxis. It cost us just RM3.90 per pax to take the train from Bukit Bintang to Bandar Tasik Selatan Station as compared to taking the taxis which would have cost more than triple the price.

Too used to the doors being shut at Singapore that I'm afraid to stand near to the opening gaps here

Us transferring to the Laluan Ampang line from Hang Tuah station

Taking the stairs down to wait for the train to go to Bandar Tasik Selatan Station

Me and my dearest girlfriend

 The scenery railway tracks

Lucky there's no shortage of signage to direct us to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan

So happy that we bought our bus tickets beforehand as there's a long queue of people queuing up to get their tickets. Plus to be honest, the people at the ticket counters aren't very friendly and helpful towards people as compared to Singapore. Too many lousy experience at the counters in Malaysia left me with such a bad impression on their customer service.

Yeah can you imagine we've arrived at Larkin Terminal, Johor Bahru in just 3 hours 30 minutes of jourey ^_^ So good to be able to catch some rest along the way so that we can fully enjoy our stay in JB. Once we've arrived at Larkin Terminal, we cab down to our hotel which is just 10 minutes drive away at Holiday Villa.

Once we unpacked our stuffs we head down to KSL mall to grab some small bites and try out the Soon Soon Heng Bak Kut Teh just opposite KSL since there were quite a number of good reviews. Was rather disappointed that it taste bland and it's salty to be honest.

Lalala decided to head back to our hotel to check out the infinity pool before we have our dinner later on ^_^ Love their infinity pool so much plus there's a warm Jacuzzi and sauna in the respective men and female toilets. Really is value for money for a one night stay here.

After our swim and relaxation at the infinity pool, we showered and set off to KSL to change the screen protectors for our phone and buy some stuffs before heading over to Jalan Kelewang for our dinner.

Yummy yummy 鲍鱼面 (RM16), wanton mee (RM6.50), lok lok (RM19) and aiyu jelly (RM4) ^_^

Took us awhile to grab a taxi along the stretch of road after our dinner. Sometimes I wonder how come there's so many taxis when we're having our dinner but once we're done all the taxis were gone lol. But lucky we managed to flag down a taxi after 10mins of wait.

Head over to Sawadee Resort Hotel & Spa which is just opposite our hotel to have our massage. Go for the Aromatherapy massage which is RM80 per pax during the weekends (RM10 cheaper if it's during the weekdays) for 60 minutes. Whole body felt so relaxed after our massage as we head back to our hotel to rest for the night. Can't wait to try the Thai traditional massage with dear which cost RM69 for 60 minutes.

3D2N to Kuala Lumpur and JB Day 1

Yeah our 3D2N short getaway trip to Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru is finally here. Woke up as early as 7am plus and set off to Changi Airport by bus 27. So happy so happy hehe. Reached the airport just in time for breakfast and check-in. Lalala we're flying to Kuala Lumpur by AirAsia ^_^

Hehe it's so fast to go Kuala Lumpur by flight that we arrived there in just one hour. So happy because the moment I woke up from my nap we're already here in KL ^_^ Lalala so happy that I managed to get myself a 3 days usage sim card the minute we touched down. Was checking around on the price to get from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Bukit Bintang but we're shocked that it will cost us RM120 to get there by taxi. Even Uber or Grab would cost us about RM80+.

Lucky there are other alternative that we can take to go Bukit Bintang ^_^ We went to the transportation hub at KLIA 2 to get the tickets to go to Bukit Bintang which cost us just RM30 for two pax.

So interesting because after one hour plus of journey, we had to alight and transfer to a mini van to head over to Bukit Bintang. I guess that is because the stretch of road at Bukit Bintang is too narrow for the big buses to pass through.

Yeah we're finally here at Bukit Bintang after 1 hour 30 mins of journey and it save us RM100 lalala. Head over to McDonald's to satisfy our cravings before we head over to Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel to check in.

Loving the hotel as it is just beside the bus-stop where the Go-KL City Bus stops at and it's just 5 minutes walk to Jalan Alor where there will be rows of hawker stalls being set up to satisfy your craving needs, plus the Bukit Bintang LRT station is near us too.

First Stop: Petaling Street in Chinatown
Yeah our first stop at Kuala Lumpur today will be Petaling Street in Chinatown area. Went to the bus stop with the intention to cab down but we decided to take the Go-KL City Bus instead and not letting the taxis charge us unreasonable fares. Took the Purple route bus which took us to Chinatown in just about 15minutes and it's free of charge. Lucky the girlfriend knows how to ask around the bus drivers hehe

The stop where we alight at just right opposite Kota Raya. Just walk towards the right and here we are at Petaling Street, Chinatown ^_^

Petaling Street: A well known shopping district where you can get cheap buys ranging from slippers at RM10 to bags from RM35, to fake jerseys and lastly my favourite food and Luo Han Guo drink.

Walk around here for merely 30 minutes and we decided to make our way to KLCC as we just couldn't find anything to buy today. Everything seems to be overpriced by the people over there as compared to JB. Lalala flagged down a taxi to get us from Petaling Street to KLCC and it only cost us RM10 and I managed to catch some Pokemons along the way too hehe.

Second Stop: Kuala Lumpur City Centre / Petronas Twin Towers

So happy to be here with the girlfriend again and I managed to get myself a small Lego Starter Set 60072 (RM39) from Box of Bricks shop at KLCC. Had our lunch at the food court and walk around the area to catch my Pokemon first before we make our way back to Bukit Bintang. So many dishonest taxi drivers here that charge RM25 for a short journey back to Bukit Bintang. Lucky we managed to catch the Go-KL bus from KLCC to Bukit Bintang which is free. We saved so much on transport for our trip this time round.

3rd Stop: Dinner at Jalan Alor

Walked around the malls as we got back to Bukit Bintang before we walk over to Jalan Alor to satisfy our cravings for food. Had so much food tonight from Hokkien Mee, to BBQ chicken wings, to Tom Yum seafood beehoon, to the nice nice clams.

You can really find alot of delicacies over here as compared to other places at Bukit Bintang. There are lots of stalls selling different types of seafood, local food, durians and even beers to satisfy your cravings.

Had to head out for a walk after feeling so full from our dinner. We managed to catch the Rio Olympics Badminton qualifying match for Gold medal between Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei and China's Chen Long. Sat down and enjoy over a glass of beer and coke at Johny Rockets at Pavilion to watch the match.

Although Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei lost to China's Chen Long over the match but I guess he's already Gold to all Malaysians. Cheers to Lee Chong Wei.

So happy to be able to get a cake from Starbucks and a candle for dear dear's birthday as we celebrate inside the hotel room. Happy Birthday my Bao Bei dear dear ^_^

Celebrating Dear's birthday @ Dancing Crab

Yeah, we're meeting Ziying at 313Somerset to celebrate the girlfriend's birthday by having dinner at Dancing Crab ^_^ Slurp slurp. Hehe I like to look at the girlfriend when she is eating crabs because she would always used all her ten fingers to eat :p Lalala me got free crabs and prawns to eat tonight.

After our dinner, we head over to the iStudio at Paragon to choose the Apple watch that dear been staring at whenever we're out walking around. Lalala so happy to be able to get the Apple watch for the girlfriend for her birthday :)
