Yeah our 3D2N short getaway trip to Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru is finally here. Woke up as early as 7am plus and set off to Changi Airport by bus 27. So happy so happy hehe. Reached the airport just in time for breakfast and check-in. Lalala we're flying to Kuala Lumpur by AirAsia ^_^
Hehe it's so fast to go Kuala Lumpur by flight that we arrived there in just one hour. So happy because the moment I woke up from my nap we're already here in KL ^_^ Lalala so happy that I managed to get myself a 3 days usage sim card the minute we touched down. Was checking around on the price to get from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Bukit Bintang but we're shocked that it will cost us RM120 to get there by taxi. Even Uber or Grab would cost us about RM80+.
Lucky there are other alternative that we can take to go Bukit Bintang ^_^ We went to the transportation hub at KLIA 2 to get the tickets to go to Bukit Bintang which cost us just RM30 for two pax.
So interesting because after one hour plus of journey, we had to alight and transfer to a mini van to head over to Bukit Bintang. I guess that is because the stretch of road at Bukit Bintang is too narrow for the big buses to pass through.
Yeah we're finally here at Bukit Bintang after 1 hour 30 mins of journey and it save us RM100 lalala. Head over to McDonald's to satisfy our cravings before we head over to Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel to check in.
Loving the hotel as it is just beside the bus-stop where the Go-KL City Bus stops at and it's just 5 minutes walk to Jalan Alor where there will be rows of hawker stalls being set up to satisfy your craving needs, plus the Bukit Bintang LRT station is near us too.
Walk around here for merely 30 minutes and we decided to make our way to KLCC as we just couldn't find anything to buy today. Everything seems to be overpriced by the people over there as compared to JB. Lalala flagged down a taxi to get us from Petaling Street to KLCC and it only cost us RM10 and I managed to catch some Pokemons along the way too hehe.
First Stop: Petaling Street in Chinatown
Yeah our first stop at Kuala Lumpur today will be Petaling Street in Chinatown area. Went to the bus stop with the intention to cab down but we decided to take the Go-KL City Bus instead and not letting the taxis charge us unreasonable fares. Took the Purple route bus which took us to Chinatown in just about 15minutes and it's free of charge. Lucky the girlfriend knows how to ask around the bus drivers hehe
The stop where we alight at just right opposite Kota Raya. Just walk towards the right and here we are at Petaling Street, Chinatown ^_^
Petaling Street: A well known shopping district where you can get cheap buys ranging from slippers at RM10 to bags from RM35, to fake jerseys and lastly my favourite food and Luo Han Guo drink.
Second Stop: Kuala Lumpur City Centre / Petronas Twin Towers
So happy to be here with the girlfriend again and I managed to get myself a small Lego Starter Set 60072 (RM39) from Box of Bricks shop at KLCC. Had our lunch at the food court and walk around the area to catch my Pokemon first before we make our way back to Bukit Bintang. So many dishonest taxi drivers here that charge RM25 for a short journey back to Bukit Bintang. Lucky we managed to catch the Go-KL bus from KLCC to Bukit Bintang which is free. We saved so much on transport for our trip this time round.
3rd Stop: Dinner at Jalan Alor
Walked around the malls as we got back to Bukit Bintang before we walk over to Jalan Alor to satisfy our cravings for food. Had so much food tonight from Hokkien Mee, to BBQ chicken wings, to Tom Yum seafood beehoon, to the nice nice clams.
You can really find alot of delicacies over here as compared to other places at Bukit Bintang. There are lots of stalls selling different types of seafood, local food, durians and even beers to satisfy your cravings.
Had to head out for a walk after feeling so full from our dinner. We managed to catch the Rio Olympics Badminton qualifying match for Gold medal between Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei and China's Chen Long. Sat down and enjoy over a glass of beer and coke at Johny Rockets at Pavilion to watch the match.
Although Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei lost to China's Chen Long over the match but I guess he's already Gold to all Malaysians. Cheers to Lee Chong Wei.
So happy to be able to get a cake from Starbucks and a candle for dear dear's birthday as we celebrate inside the hotel room. Happy Birthday my Bao Bei dear dear ^_^
