4D3N Bangkok Trip (Day 1)

Yeah we're finally going on our short getaway trip to Bangkok for the very first time today. This trip was a very last minute plan that we had 3 weeks before so naturally the air tickets and hotel accommodation will cost alot more than usual. Lalala lalala time to bring Xiao Xiao Brown and Xiao Xiao Cony overseas with us again hehe.

Yeah after about 2 hours 30 minutes we arrived safely at Bangkok Suvarnabumi Airport. Time to take a taxi down to our hotel at Glow Pratunam which most taxi drivers know it to be the Shibuya mall instead. The location of the hotel is great if you love shopping as it is just across the Platinum Mall too and the Siam Massage & Spa is located at the hotel lobby too if you ever need a good massage.

So happy because I am finally going to tailor some new shirts and pants today and so with the recommendation of my colleague we went over to Alex's Fashion located level two of Amari Watergate. Decided to tailor 3 new shirts and a navy pants and with their very attractive package each shirt cost just $30+. Awesome deal :)

After taking my measurement at Alex's Fashion we left Amari Watergate and head over to our next destination which is the Little Zoo Cafe. We went to the Siam outlet which is at Siam Square Soi 11, which is very convenient since its just opposite of Siam Square. Lalala lalala I love this cafe because there's so many animals here as we grab some bites.

Second Destination: Asiatique Riverfront

Took the train from Siam over to BTS Saphan Taksi and walk over to the Sathorn Pier to take the ferry which cost us 30 Baht to Asiatique Riverfront. Hehe I really like to take boat boat with dear and enjoy the beautiful night scenery of Bangkok. 

It's my first time coming here and I really like it alot maybe because there's a ferries wheel here and it really make this place looks very beautiful at night. As for the food here I think it's pretty much the same though the prices seems to be marked up here. Love to just take a stroll along here at night hehe.

To my horror the Tom Yum soup here are filled with lots of coconut milk which is really not to my liking. I guess I still prefer the Tom Yum soup that we normally had in Singapore.

Third Destination: Rod Fai Night Market 2

Took a taxi from Asiatique Riverfront to Rod Fai Night Market from the taxi stand here. Price are pretty much standard and fixed though you got to pay a small fee to the taxi booth there. And so after about 15 minutes we arrived at Rod Fai Night Market 2. Awesome place to be and I really love it here. There are lots of varieties of food here and the prices are way cheaper as compared to Asiatique Riverfront. I even managed to buy a Star Wars mini poster for my wall lalala lalala.

iLight Marina Bay, Uncle Ringo Carnival & GastroBeats

Lalala meet up with the girlfriend at Centrepoint after her work as we take the SBS Express bus 502 to go over to Marina Bay Sands. Just a 10 minutes walk from the bus stop and we arrived at the Uncle Ringo Carnival where the GastroBeats and iLight @ Marina Bay are at too. 

Over at the Uncle Ringo, there are like 8 different game stations for us to try our luck on to see if we will get to win any soft toys back home with us. First of all, we got to purchase the game cards which are priced at S$25 (S$23 game credits and S$2 non-refundable) and S$50 (S$50 game credits) with subsequent top ups available from S$1.00. As the games there are priced at S$5 per game, it's wise for us to add-on subsequent top up of S$2 so that we would have S$25 game credits since we're only getting the S$25 card. It just makes more sense else we would have S$3 left in the card and we have to queue up all over just to top up again. So here we are with S$25 game credits which would allow us to play a total of 5 games tonight to see if we can win any soft toys back ^_^

Hehe managed to win the Mr Mario and Luigi soft toys for the silly girlfriend who likes to play the games at fun fair but always say see see is enough. Lalala so happy to be here with the girlfriend tonight just walking around and watching people playing too. 

Lego BrickHeadz Beauty & the Beast

Hehe I am so like a kid today because I'm leaving home early with the girlfriend but she's going to work and I'm alighting at Serangoon. Why? Because today's the launch of the Lego Brick Headz Beauty & the Beast series where the round base plate will be given out during this weekend only. So, I just got to get my hands on it since I missed the previous ones during the Batman launch last weekend as we're in Melacca.

Lalala I'm so happy hehe. Finally got my hands on the Lego Brick Headz Beauty & the Beast, as well as the Lego City 60100 Starter Set because there is a discount going from so the price of it dropped from S$19.90 to S$13.90 hehe. Lalala heading home with my Lego, some snacks for the two doggies at home and also the bedding for the bunnies and hamsters at home.

Finally it's Friday again. I guess for those who work a 5 days week job always look forward to Friday because that's when we can finally smell the weekends. Life at work has been rather busy these few days because of all the weird cases that have been occurring giving me a rather big headache. Worse still, I'm a one man show for the entire week. 

Yeah finally it's 5.45pm and it's time for me to head over to Orchard lo. Went to get the Lego Brick Headz Robin from the Bricks World today. So cute cute and I can't wait to fix it up ^_^ Waited for the girlfriend to finish her work and we went over to Plaza Singapura for our dinner before we head back home.

Thursday Run

Time for our weekly run today after skipping it yesterday due to the crazy hot weather. I'm glad tonight's weather is way so much better and it's cooling too. Lalala it's really good to go for a run at times to sweat it out and just enjoy the scenery and breeze along the Central Business District (CBD). 

My Ah Dai Hairstyle

It's been like only 4 weeks since my last haircut and the length of my hair has grown so long that I really look like I am growing wheat grass above my head hahaha. Wanted to have my haircut on Monday but too bad my regular hair stylist at Snip Avenue was on leave so I have to endure for one more day before I can have my haircut. 

Lalala so happy after my hair cut because my hair feels so light now and it doesn't really look like a pile of wheat grass is growing above anymore. Meet up with the girlfriend at Hougang as we walk over to the 5 Star western for dinner. I so love their Hot Plate Mixed Grill with black pepper sauce because it's just so delicious. Yeah I just got to have ice cream for tonight too hehe ^_^

My 32nd Birthday

Had a very enjoyable and happy birthday with the girlfriend this year as we spent the weekends at Melaka where we get to eat all the nice food that we had cravings for. I got the cute cute Pokemon Snorlax soft toy from Jonker Walk and the nice cute Lego set from the ToysRus during my trip too hehe.

Yeah birthday treat from the girlfriend tonight as we head over to Hai Di Lao at 313 Somerset for our dinner after arriving back to Singapore around 10pm plus. Yummy yummy late night dinner here. I love every dishes here except the sour sour Mangoes from my special birthday cake from Hai Di Lao hehe.
