9D8N Trip to Taiwan - Day three

Finally, we're heading over to 清境 today and our itinerary will covers the 清境農場 (Cing Jing Farm), 小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden) and we will be checking out the 紙箱王 (Carton King) too.

Our hotel breakfast today was really amazing because this has got to be the first time ever that I'm having hotel breakfast in a rather fine dining setting. When we first went down to have our breakfast, we're given a menu to select what we would like to have for our breakfast and it was then served to us. So other than the main dish, there are other items like porridge that are buffet style too. Simply unique don't you think?

Now let's talk about our transportation from 台中 to 清境, we'll be taking the Nantou bus which is obviously a cheaper alternative since there are only 2 of us, but it's more worth it if you're travelling in groups of 4 to just book a taxi and travel up.

So after we check out from the hotel, we head over to 臺中干城站 (Taichung Gancheng Station) to queue for 南投客運 (Nantou) first bus of the day which would leave the bus stop at 8.25am and arrive at 清境農場 at about 10.45am. The bus fare from 台中 to 清境農場 cost us NT244 per person.

Look out for the big yellow signboard and you'll find the ticket booth to purchase the 南投客運 bus tickets to go to various places like the 清境農場 (Cing Jing Farm), 日月潭 (Sun Moon Lake), etc. So, depending on your itinerary, you can either purchase the single or round trip back to 台中.

Saw the yellow cards behind? When you purchase the bus tickets, they will provide you with the yellow cards that will have numbers on it which enables you to board the bus in sequence depending on what time you purchase the tickets. So, be there early :)

Lalala we're finally here at 清境農場 after a long bus ride and the weather is fantastic too.

Got our tickets from the ticket booth which cost us NT$160 per person during the weekdays. So happy to be able to bring the girlfriend here to see all the meh meh sheeps and nice scenery over here. Lalala I felt so happy holding the girlfriend's hand as we walk around the greenland enjoying the scenery and looking at the sheeps hehe ^_^

Since it's not the weekend today, there will be no sheep performance other than the horse performance however we won't be sticking around here till 3.30pm for the next show so we just walk and walk till we came to the unforgettable 499-steps trail. For anyone who have walked this path before, you'll agree with me that the 499-steps of stairs seems never-ending though the scenery is nice as you walk back down to the main road.

I didn't lie right, the view was really beautiful with the cherry blossoms blooming around us

And so after walking down the 499-steps and away from 清境農場, we came to the main road and we just kept on walking towards the direction of the 小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden). But the walk proves too much for us that we have to settle down at one of the small cafe to grab some food to eat. And, to be honest, the black pepper pork chop (NT290) that we ordered was pretty tasty.

Time for us to try our luck and check-in to our 名宿 (MingSu) at 清境愛立家旅遊民宿 (Ailiga Travel Villa) and we're in luck haha. Love the view from our room which promises an endless view of the 清境 area. Hope the girlfriend like this Ming Su as compared to the others around the area because personally I love it.

And so after having a short rest, we make our way over to the 紙箱王 (Carton King) and 小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden) which is just beside our Ming Su. For the 紙箱王 (Carton King), we only spend some time in the shop taking some photos because we kinda decided not to have our lunch at the restaurant after reading up on most of the reviews.

Bought the tickets to 小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden) using my Student Pass which they actually allows lol. Hmm... in my opinion, I think that the 小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden) seems to be a little run down as compared to when I visited the place 3 years ago. Felt that they could have do something about the condition of the water in the pond since it's filled with algae. But nevertheless, I still enjoy the peacefulness and the wide varieties of the flowers here.

This is what I meant when I mentioned about the condition of the water here. Full of Algae.

The hot air balloon :)

Can you see me? hehe

My horse carriage :)

Phew, and so after walking around the 小瑞士花園 (Small Swiss Garden) for just about 30 minutes or so, we walk around the area and got ourselves some more souvenirs at the Lavender Cottage souvenir shop here before settling down for some hotpot. Yummy Yummy steamboat for lunch which is value for money.

Our Steamboat for lunch/dinner

Was walking back to our Ming Su with my Mos Burger when we chance upon a stray dog that was limping as he walks and followed us from the entrance from the main road up to our Ming Su. Really couldn't take it when we saw how skinny the doggie was :( I named the doggie as 旺仔 hoping that he will be a strong and fit doggie. The silly girlfriend and I went to 7-eleven to get 旺仔 some 排骨饭 after seeing how skinny he is as his rib cage was so visible.

So sad when we had to bid farewell to 旺仔 and head back to our room. It's even sad when we head out when it's so freezing cold at 10 degrees, hoping to get some dinner for 旺仔 but we just couldn't see her anywhere at all :( 旺仔跑去哪里?
