I believe many of us dog owners fed our little furry friends dried food, as well as some steamed fish, chicken or even pumpkin to go along for their daily breakfast, lunch and perhaps dinner. Well, for Yoda and Tessa, they are only fed like twice a day; once in the morning and once at night. Usually we will just gave them the dry dog food pellets, together with the steam chicken / fish and pumpkin.
I dunno about the taste buds of other furry friends out there, but one thing's for sure is that Tessa really really really has a very picky taste for food. Because she would literally refused to eat no matter how you tried to feed her anything if she just ain't interested in the food you fed her almost 365 days a year. LOL. *With the exception of dog treats*
And so I decided to cook up a simple meal for the furry friends today. Bought the carrots, minced meat, and pasta home today to prepare a meal for them. Since we don't have a car, and do not have the luxury to bring them out all the time to the Doggy Cafes across Singapore, we will bring the cafe to them instead :p
My Methods of Cooking (Meatball):
1) Chopped up the carrot and Pumpkin into small pieces
2) Stir one egg into a bowl
3) Took a handful of minced meat and mixed together with the egg
4) Mix the small pieces of pumpkin & carrot with the minced meat
5) Roll the minced meat, carrot and pumpkin into the shape of a meatball
6) Put the meatball onto the plate and put it to steam for about 15 to 18 minutes
My Methods of Cooking (Pasta):
1) Boil a pail of water to cook the Pasta *quantity to depend on your pet's appetite*
2) Boil the Pasta for about 15 to 20 minutes. *Use the chopsticks to see if you can break the pasta into half easily, if you are able to do so, the pasta is definitely cooked*
3) Heat up the frying pan for about 5 minutes
4) Pour a little bit of Olive Oil *I ran out of it so I kinda make do with nothing but water
5) Chopped up few pieces of broccoli, carrots and pumpkins
6) Pour in the minced meat once the oil is heated up to fry for about 5 to 8 minutes before pouring in the broccoli, carrots and pumpkins.
7) Fry for about 5 minutes till the broccoli, carrots and pumpkins are cooked before pouring in the pasta to mix together.
8) Fry for about 5 minutes and you are ready to go ^_^

Go on, be creative and let's all cook up some home cooked food that is healthy and oil free for our furry friends back at home rather than just feeding them plain dog food. I guess we will get bored too ourselves if we are to eat the same food for 365 days a year. But remember, it's always good to goggle online first on the types of food that our furry friends can or cannot eat.
