It's the time of the year again where I start to get busy planning for the annual gathering at Mr Ng and Ms Lim house for Chinese New Year. It's really so hard to plan when everyone will have their own activities for the new year too. And so, from the initial attendees of 11 persons, we are down to just 9 of us because as usual, two of the musketeers are not able to make it at the very last minute again. Sad, just sad.
Meet up with Jeanette and Keng Boon at Hougang Mall as we search for what to get for both of the teachers for this year. As the rest do not have any objections or suggestions, I grab the Bird Nest with Ginseng for Mr Ng and Bird Nest with Rock Sugar for Ms Lim. And so we head over to Mr Ng house at 10.30am as proposed while the rest started coming in from 11.15am onwards. Had quite a good chat with Mr Ng and the rest of them as we kinda only get to see each other once a year too.
Made our way over to Ms Lim's house at Choa Chu Kang Crescent after fetching AiPing from her work place at Compasspoint. And we're once again late to Ms Lim house as always lol. We ate so much today because Ms Lim is cooking for us today too. There's BeeHoon, nuggets, sotong balls etc. We always have so much to talk about whenever we meet up so I'll say it's a really fruitful trip every year, though I would appreciate it if the rest can join us too, especially if you said you're able to make it.
This is how we actually mark attendance every year, and this year is totally the same as last year.
Time to leave and meet up with the girlfriend :)
